To Get MouseReader

With MouseReader you will be able to practise pronunciation in other languages in a natural and comfortable way, while you read documents or browse the internet in your computer, and without having to press any key on your keyboard. Just select a range of text with your mouse, and listen.

See the demo page to view a short video of the program running. To read more details go to the help page.

You can download here a demo version of MouseReader for Windows XP and Windows Vista* (*in Windows Vista maybe you will have to run the application with "Run as Administrator"). In the demo version an annoying text is played at the start of each new text selection.

To get a full version copy of MouseReader you have to:

OPTION 1) Collaborate to improve the online dictionaries. For this you will have to add new translations to the dictionaries (a good source can be the pending translations cue) and get a significative percent of them positively voted by a group of diverse people (it does not make sense if the same person adds and votes the translations, or if it is done by a small group of friends)

Currently each translation positively voted adds a gold star, and for each 10 translations (not negatively voted) you also get a silver star. Since each translation that you add is also added to the inverse dictionary, in fact you add 2 translations each time.
You need to accumulate 6 golden stars and 15 silver stars to get the program for free. When you reach the goal, we will randomly check some of the translations that you have entered.

or

OPTION 2) If your time is too valious to spend it adding new translations to the online dictionaries, or if you do not want to wait until some of them get positively voted, or if you only know your own language (there are also dictionaries from one language to itself, for synonyms, dialectal variations and slang) you can always collaborate economically to the project.

To get a full copy of MouseReader a minimum collaboration fee of 25$ (15€) is required*. In any case you must understand that the software is still in beta version, so don't expect to get a robust and comercial grade application in some aspects. Send me an email to voicetranslator@gmail.com to make a money collaboration. Paypal donation is the preferred paying method.

(*if that seems expensive to you, I only hope that you aren't a plumber or a dentist!)

Apart of rewarding my humble work and encouraging me to further improve the program, I would like to get enough money to buy some developer stuff (like a copy Dragon Naturallyspeaking 9 SDK...), a new PC, a good pair of bluetooth headphones, to pay the hosting expenses... My salary isn't very high and I have a little son to raise!
